The report entitled The State of the Great Central Valley: Education and Youth Preparedness will examine 24 indicators illustrative of the state of education and the preparedness of the region's youth for entrance to college.

Walter R. McDonald & Associates, Inc. was requested to develop a comprehensive set of data that characterize important education and youth issues in the Central Valley. The descriptive text will include the following elements:

• What the indicator means,


• Why the indicator is important, and


• Any additional information.
