On June 24, 2009, Naeemah Carter, Research Associate at WRMA, co-presented Youth at the Wheel: Youth Driven Research and Analysis with two youth presenters, Hillary Groves and Antonio Wilson, at Portland State University's Building on Family Strengths Conference. The presentation covered the differences between caregiver and youth perceptions of issues related to mental health such as presenting problems and medication use. WRMA, and its partner ICF Macro, are the national evaluators for Phase V of the National Evaluation of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program and YADA (Youth Advisors Driving Action) is the youth component of the national evaluation. YADA, facilitated by Naeemah Carter provides guidance to the national evaluation to insure that the research conducted is youth-accessible and youth-guided.
